Elan gain as shares up 27.96 points

SHARES in Dublin advanced yesterday for a second day, gaining 27.96 points to close at 4594.67.

The biggest mover of the day was Elan, advancing 35c to 5.35, closely followed by CRH, adding 17c to finish at 16.27.

A good day for the food sector, which saw gains for Fyffes and IAWS, up 7c and 10c respectively. Kerry Group also closed 10c firmer at 14.95. Large volumes were traded in Glanbia, which ended the day 6c lighter at 1.87.
