ISEQ outperforms global markets

Tougher trading conditions are on the way, writes BRIAN O’MAHONY.

HAVING enjoyed a very strong June the ISEQ index fell by 2% in July, but it still outperformed global markets.

On a year-on-year basis the Irish index is still holding up well against global comparisons and at the end of July its annual return was a healthy 21.4%.
