As we look ahead to 2023, intense uncertainty seems to be the most appropriate description of what lies ahead.
The global economy ended 2022 under pressure against a background of high inflation, rising interest rates, serious difficulties in the Chinese economy, and a general expectation/fear that the economies of the EU, the UK and the US could well experience technical recession in the first half of 2023.
