Europe must find way to ease pressure on us

ONE of the key weaknesses to date in trying to tackle the banking meltdown was the failure to put an exact figures on the cost of the bailout.

That the country should be relieved at the €70bn total cost says a lot about the fall from grace this economy has endured since mid-2008.

The big question now is how far down the road to a solution this latest stress test has brought us?
