FBD strong despite profit dip

INCREASED competition from aggressive players in the insurance market such as Quinn Direct has resulted in a slide in first-half profits at FBD Holdings.

FBD blamed the profit dip on lower margins due to intense competition.

The group said that it expected full-year earnings to deliver on the market’s expectations for the group for the year as a whole.
