Galway GAA legend Enda Colleran dies aged 63

Former Galway GAA star Enda Colleran has died at his home in Barna aged 63.

The Moylough footballer first came to prominence when he won a Hogan Cup medal with St Jarlath’s of Tuam and an All-Ireland minor title with Galway in 1960.

He went on to become part of the legendary Galway senior team that won three consecutive All-Ireland titles in the mid-1960s and was one of only six GAA players to captain his county to two All-Ireland victories (in 1965 and 1966).

Colleran also won a National League title with Galway in 1965, a Sigerson Cup title with UCG in 1961 and captained Connacht to Railway Cup victory in 1967.
