Aniston signs up to produce ‘Holler’

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston – who recently oversaw the comedies ‘Management’ and ‘The Baster’ - is due to take on an off-screen role in the upcoming blockbuster ' Holler' about racial segregation in Deep South America.

The storyline will follow a mix-raced teenager who moves to Mississippi with his mother – who is expected to be played by Jennifer – and against the approval of local residents, falls in love with a white neighbour.

Realising he can’t invite his girlfriend to his high school prom, the teen attempts to change the school rules and vows to alter the opinions and views of his whole town.

The movie – originally called ‘Mutt’ – was penned by the Oscar-nominated director Dana Adam Shapiro and based on a real life story.

Jennifer will produce the Screen Gems film alongside Jeff Mandel, Tracey Durning and ‘The Departed’s Kristian Hahn.
