The effort to purge a deadly parasite from drinking water in a Houston suburb could take up to 60 days, an official said.

Doctors believe the presence of the naegleria fowleri microbe in tap water killed a six-year-old boy and residents of Lake Jackson, within the Greater Houston Area, have been urged to boil water before using it.
