Bear injures four people in residential area of Japan

Japan’s Environment Ministry said 13 people were killed in more than 230 attacks by bears in 2025

A bear has injured four people in a Japanese residential area.

The incident is the latest case of an attack by bears in an area of the country where they have increasingly encroached on the human population in recent years.
