Trump extends deadline for Iran to open strait of Hormuz by 10 days

Donald Trump has extended his deadline for Iran to open the strait of Hormuz by 10 days to April 6 after saying talks are âgoing very wellâ.
The president made the statement on Thursday in a social media post, saying: âAs per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8pm, Eastern Time,â Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
