Watch: Southern Europe battles deadly wildfires

Southern Europe is battling deadly wildfires during one of its hottest summers in years. A fire in southern France has destroyed an area larger than Paris, killing one person.

In Spain, over 39,000 hectares have burned since January, forcing mass evacuations.

Portugal is fighting 10 active fires, with 42,000 hectares destroyed this year. Over 350,000 hectares have burned across Europe so far in 2025.
