Nine people have been killed after a car struck revellers at a street festival celebrating Filipino culture in Canada.

Police said on Sunday (April 27) they were investigating a mass casualty incident and had arrested a 30-year-old man at the scene after a number of people were killed and multiple others were injured in Vancouver when a vehicle drove into a crowd at a Filipino street festival Saturday evening.
