Russia fires missiles at Kyiv as children return to school

Russia has launched an overnight barrage of drones and cruise and ballistic missiles at Kyiv, Ukraine’s air force said, as children prepared to return to school across the country after their summer holidays.

A series of explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital in the early hours of Monday.
