Judge warns Trump to be quiet as accuser gives evidence at defamation trial
Donald Trump has been told to keep his voice down in court after writer E Jean Carroll’s lawyer said the former president was grumbling loudly to his attorneys as she described how he shattered her reputation after she accused him of sexual abuse.
Carroll lawyer Shawn Crowley told Judge Lewis A Kaplan that Trump could be heard “loudly saying things that are false” as he sat at the defence table, frequently tilting back in his chair and leaning over to talk with lawyers Alina Habba and Michael Madaio.
