Israeli military says body of hostage recovered near Al Shifa hospital in Gaza

Military equipment including Kalashnikov rifles and rocket-propelled grenades were also found in the building, it said

The Israeli military said the body of an Israeli woman, one of around 240 hostages taken by Hamas gunmen when they stormed into southern Israel on October 7, was recovered by troops in a building near the Al Shifa hospital.

Israel's military said on Thursday that the body of Yehudit Weiss had been identified by forensic examiners and the family had been informed.
