More severe Covid ‘linked to increased risk of harm to long-term mental health’

Spending more than a week in bed with Covid may be linked to an increase in the risk of long term damage to mental health, new research suggests.

The study found people with coronavirus who were not admitted to hospital were more likely to experience symptoms of depression up to 16 months after diagnosis, compared to those never infected.
