Similarities found between rheumatoid arthritis and Covid-19 could help develop new treatments for coronavirus and Long Covid, according to a new study.

Research led by the University of Glasgow found that some rheumatoid arthritis patients who became infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes Covid-19, had ā€œflaresā€ of joint pain and inflammation, which hinted at similarities between Covid-19 and rheumatoid arthritis.
