UN commission urges equality for women in decision-making roles

The commission reaffirmed the blueprint to achieve gender equality adopted 25 years ago at the Beijing women’s conference

The UN’s gender equality body has called for more women in global decision-making roles.

The resolution came as the Commission on the Status of Women adopted a final document that saw continuing pushback on women’s rights and a refusal to address issues of gender identity.
