Supreme Court to rule on Shamima Begum’s bid to return to the UK from Syria

Shamima Begum whose potential return to the UK to challenge the deprivation of her British citizenship will be considered by the Supreme Court.

Shamima Begum will find out if she can potentially return to the UK to pursue an appeal against the removal of her British citizenship when the Supreme Court rules on her case.

Ms Begum was 15 when she and two other east London schoolgirls travelled to Syria to join the so-called Islamic State group (IS) in February 2015.
