Trump’s false election claims taking root among Republicans

Donald Trump’s campaign to subvert the will of voters and reverse his re-election loss is taking hold among state and local Republicans even as it slides towards failure.

In a sign of Mr Trump’s continuing power to bend the GOP to his will, dozens of state politicians, elected officials and party leaders have recently endorsed and advanced his false claims, with some calling for undemocratic actions to reverse results.
