Deadline nears for Boris Johnson’s 500,000 testing capacity pledge

Boris Johnson made a promise in July to increase the UK’s Covid-19 testing capacity to 500,000 tests per day by the end of October.
The latest data on the UK government’s coronavirus dashboard shows that there is currently a capacity for 480,961 tests with 347,626 tests actually being processed.
