‘No light at the end of the tunnel’ as India passes four million Covid-19 cases

The number of coronavirus cases recorded in India has passed four million as the country closes in on Brazil’s total.

Authorities recorded 86,432 cases in 24 hours pushing the total to 4,023,179, nearly 100,000 fewer than cases in Brazil which is the second-highest in the world.
