Boris Johnson is under pressure to intervene to end the deepening A-levels crisis in England, amid growing anger among pupils and teachers and warnings of unrest among Tory MPs.

Labour leader Keir Starmer called on the British Prime Minister to take “personal responsibility” for fixing the issue, accusing him of having been “invisible” throughout the turmoil.
