A man has described the moment Tuesday’s explosion in Beirut hit his family home as “the most terrifying experience of my life”.

Briton Jack Kemp, 19, and his family have been living in the Lebanese capital for more than 15 years and the teenager was in their apartment, a little over half a mile (1km) from the blast, when it happened.
