China ponders response to Trump’s Twitter criticism

China is considering how to respond following sharp criticism from US President-elect Donald Trump on Twitter which appears to foreshadow shifts in foreign policy.

The tweets, touching on highly sensitive issues, come days after Beijing responded to Mr Trump’s telephone conversation with Taiwan’s president by accusing the Taiwanese of playing a "little trick" on him.
