Inventor James Dyson helps plug skills gap with launch of new university

Billionaire inventor James Dyson is to put his money where his mouth is by helping to bridge Britain's chronic skills gap with the launch of a new university.

Mr Dyson is ploughing £15 million over the next five years into the Dyson Institute of Technology as he looks to double his engineering workforce to 6,000 by 2020.
