British women 'catching up with men in terms of alcohol consumption', says study

Health professionals must do more to tackle problem drinking among women, experts in the UK have said.

Alcohol use and related disorders have historically been "viewed as a male phenomenon", researchers said. But a new study says women in the UK are catching up with men in terms of alcohol consumption.
