Man in hospital after hit-and-run by car being followed by police

A man is in hospital after being knocked down in a hit-and-run by a car that was being followed by police in England.

Officers in a marked patrol car spotted the dark vehicle driving erratically along Philip Lane in Haringey, north London at 9.45pm on Thursday.
