Israel has arrested a Palestinian employee of the United Nations in Gaza, accusing him of using his position to assist the Islamic militant Hamas group, which rules the coastal territory.

Israel's Shin Bet domestic security agency says Waheed Borsh, 38, an engineer working for the UN development agency UNDP in the Gaza Strip since 2003, was indicted on Tuesday.
