15 policemen confirmed killed in mortar attack at northern Sinai checkpoint

The death toll from a mortar attack on a checkpoint near northern Sinai's provincial capital of el-Arish has risen to 15 policemen.

Three officers were among those killed, according to Egypt's Interior Ministry.
