15-year-old boy stabbed in chest in broad daylight

A 15-year-old boy is in hospital after being stabbed in the chest in broad daylight.

Police were called to the incident in The Broadway, Wimbledon at around 5pm and found the injured teenager who was taken to a south London hospital.

A number of youths were seen running from the scene and a number of arrests have been made.

All of those arrested have been taken to police stations across London.

A cordon was placed around the area and detectives from the Met's Merton CID are investigating.
