John Kerry: US will accept 85,000 refugees next year, and 100,000 in 2017

The United States is to take in more refugees from around the world to try to help with the on-going refugee crisis.

US Secretary of State John Kerry wants to accept 85,000 next year, rising to 100,000 in 2017. The US had previously agreed to 70,000 refugees.
