At least 150 dead in a Boko Haram attack in Nigeria

At least 150 people are believed to have died in a Boko Haram attack in Nigeria.

Details of the attack, which is believed to have happened last Thursday, have only begun to emerge today.

It is understood dozens of militants arrived on motorcycles to a remote village in the state of Yobe and opened fire.

A number of the victims were fatally wounded in the shooting, however many are said to have died when they jumped into a river in a bid to get away.
