Video shows police shooting unarmed man dead

A US judge has allowed the release of dashcam videos showing police killing an unarmed man in a suburb of LA, after he took off his hat.

US District Judge Stephen V Wilson ruled in favour of news media companies that the First Amendment required unsealing the videos, which are evidence in a lawsuit. The police department in LA suburb Gardena had been fighting to shield the footage from view.
