Forty-four people were killed when two bombs exploded at a crowded mosque and an elite Muslim restaurant in the central Nigerian city of Jos, an emergency official said.

Abdussalam Mohammed, of the National Emergency Management Agency, said 67 other people were injured and are being treated in hospitals.
