Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras has said his government will not compromise on the country’s tense bailout negotiations, but that it is working for an “honest and mutually beneficial agreement”.

Mr Tsipras’s defiant tone came a day after a collapse in negotiations between Greece and the rest of the 19-nation eurozone in Brussels over the new government’s attempt to renegotiate its international bailout.
