IS claims Syria airstrike 'kills US hostage'

An apparent statement by the Islamic State group claims that a US female hostage has been killed in Jordanian air strikes on the outskirts of the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, the main IS stronghold.

It said the woman was killed during Muslim prayers in air strikes that targeted “the same location for more than an hour”.
