Prosecution gets court date for Pistorius appeal

An application to appeal against Oscar Pistorius’ manslaughter conviction and five-year prison sentence will be heard in a South African court on December 9, prosecutors say.

The National Prosecuting Authority also says it has been informed by Pistorius’ defence lawyers that they will oppose the appeal.
