Hong Kong protesters set for talks

Hong Kong protesters have welcomed an offer of talks by the territory’s leader to defuse the ongoing crisis over demonstrations seeking democratic reforms.

However, demonstrators have continued to demand that the chief executive Leung Chun-ying should resign and maintained barricades around government headquarters, frustrating the efforts of staff who were going to work.
