Video shows Israeli soldiers celebrating shooting of Palestinian teenager

A shocking video has surfaced online in which Israeli soldiers can be seen celebrating after one of them shoots an 18-year-old Palestinian boy in the leg.

The teenager was on a roof across from them, when one of the soldiers shot him with live ammunition.

The footage shows the Israeli soldier getting a pat on the back and celebrating after he shot the boy.

Another soldier is seen mocking the 18-year-old limping off the roof.

The video was captured by a Canadian volunteer who witnessed the shooting.

He later confronted the soldiers about their behaviour to which they replied they were "proud" of their shot and asked him to take a picture of them together.

A hospital document was released by the International Solidarity Movement which stated the injury to the boy was a gunshot wound to the right calf and he required surgery under general anesthetic.

Israeli Human Rights group B’tselem states that: “The army’s open-fire regulations clearly stipulate that live ammunition should not be used against stone-throwers, except in cases of immediate mortal danger.”
