Bangladesh: Ferry capsizes with 250 on board

A passenger ferry carrying hundreds of people has capsized in a river in Bangladesh, officials said today.

It happened as the boat was crossing the River Padma in Munshiganj district in the central part of the country, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority chairman Samsuddoha Khondaker said.
