Gay couples tie the knot in the UK

One of the first same-sex couples to be married in the UK as soon as the law allowed has said “I do” in front of a packed room of guests shortly after the stroke of midnight.

Actor Andrew Wale, 49, and guesthouse owner Neil Allard, 48, wed at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton just after midnight.
