Missing jet: Vietnam helicopters checking report of object in sea
It is being reported that a Minister has said that Vietnam is sending helicopters to check a "floating yellow object" in the South China Sea which could be a life raft from the Malaysian Airways passenger jet that has gone missing.
There has been no sign of the Boeing 777 since it disappeared from radar screens on Friday night carrying 239 passengers.
Hijacking remains a strong line of inquiry.
Malaysian civil aviation chief Azharuddin Abdul Rahman says oil slicks, spotted in the South China Sea over the weekend, are also being tested.
