Nine people have been killed in a house fire in western Kentucky, state police said.

Nine people, eight of them children, have been killed in a house fire in western Kentucky, state police said.

Trooper Stu Recke said a father and daughter who survived the blaze are in hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He did not know their conditions.
