Italian Council takes action as kissing couples stop traffic

Council officials at Padova in northern Italy have eased congestion around the new train station after they introduced a "Park and Kiss" lane for snogging couples.

The idea was introduced after it was found that kissing Italian couples were causing the tailbacks by making passionate goodbyes regardless of the queues building up behind them.

The Park and Kiss lane allows travellers to park in this lane for up to 15 minutes to say a fond farewell.
