Drunk man arrested on a horse with dog in his backpack

A man was arrested for being drunk on horseback 600 miles from where he was supposed to be.

Patrick Schumacher was allegedly discovered with a dog named Bufford in his rucksack and beer and a pistol in his saddlebags when the police stopped him after spotting him slumped in his saddle.

The 45-year-old man, found in Larkspur, Colorado, was said to be en route to his brother's wedding 600 miles away in Bryce, Utah, but had to resort to using his horse Dillon when he couldn't find his driving licence.
