Woman settles 678 parking tickets at US airport

A US woman has settled her $105,000 parking fines bill after her car was abandoned at an airport.

Jennifer Fitzgerald's vehicle amassed a staggering 678 tickets before it was towed last year after her ex-boyfriend Brandon Preveau left the motor at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago in 2009, but she managed to settle out of court for $4,500.

As part of the settlement, Brandon is to reimburse Jennifer $1,600 and she will pay the rest on a monthly plan.

She claimed she was unable to gain access to the car park.
