Schoolgirl's school detention costs family £1,340

A student has cost her family more than £1,340 after she skipped a 90-minute detention.
The 14-year-old girl spent two years taking legal action against the school after they issued her minor the punishment for skiing down an off-limit slope while on a school trip in eastern Switzerland in 2011, but the youngster lost her case at the country's highest court and her family have to folk out the hefty fine.
