Halliburton agrees to guilty plea for destroying evidence

Halliburton Energy Services has agreed to plead guilty to destroying evidence in connection with the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the US Department of Justice said.

Federal officials said that a criminal information charging Halliburton with one count of destruction of evidence was filed in federal court.
