Aw, bless… elderly woman forced to call fire brigade after deckchair mishap

A pensioner had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a deckchair.
A woman believed to be in her 80s found herself in an awkward position after the seat of her garden chair fell through as she sunbathed, leaving her wedged inside the frame.
The OAP - who is from Cornwall - was left unable to move and was forced to spend hours jammed inside the chair on one of the hottest days of the year until a neighbour discovered the woman in the evening and raised the alarm.
Emergency services rushed to her aid, arriving at the scene around 10pm to free the lady quickly before she was escorted to hospital by an ambulance for treatment.
A spokeswoman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Polruan rescued a person who was trapped in a deckchair.
The casualty was found by a neighbour and is now in the care of the ambulance service.
